Required Equipment
Protective Equipment
All BRAJHA hockey players are required to have the following equipment:
- Helmet with Face Mask or Cage
- Shoulder Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Hockey Gloves
- Hockey Pants
- Protective Cup
- Shin Pads
- Hockey Skates
- Hockey Stick
- Hockey Jersey
- Skates
- Hockey Socks
- Neck Guard - Required for all players under 18 years of age
- Mouth Guard - Required for 12U players and above.
A mouth guard is optional at the Mite and Squirt level, but highly recommended. The sooner your player grows comfortable with these additional safety items the better for him or her.
New hockey parents, please do not allow the equipment requirements to be an obstacle to enrolling your player. You are welcome to contact the coaches or the Hockey Director should you need assistance with obtaining any of the above required equipment items.
GOALIE EQUIPMENT
BRAJHA provides goalie leg pads, a goalie chest protector, and a goalie stick for younger players desiring to learn the goalie position. Every player is encouraged at the Mite level to play at least one game in goal.
