WHAT IS THE AMERICAN DEVELOPMENTAL MODEL & WHY DO WE FOLLOW IT?

A lot has been written and said about the American Developmental Model (ADM) and its positive impact on amateur sports in general and Ice Hockey. What follows is a summary of the ADM:

BRAJHA supports and has implemented the ADM into its methods of developing its ice hockey players.
The ADM was created in tandem by USA Hockey and the NHL.
The ADM is supported by numerous Division I and NHL coaches and players.
The ADM is rooted in sports science and developmental psychology.
The ADM provides a framework to ensure that youth are introduced sports skills in a manner and method which compliments their natural physical and psychological development.
